Learning from home

We're keeping students learning both in and out of the classroom.

Explore the department's Learning remotely resources to support both online and offline learning for all students.

Learning remotely without technology

We understand some students do not have access to a device or internet for online learning. Contact the school to discuss non-digital learning from home options for your child.

Learning from home at Maroubra Bay

learning

When our school is closed or opening is restricted, the following systems will allow learning to continue.

All families should use the Class DoJo system for specific information on each class. This will include key messages from the class teacher.

Students in Kindergarten and Year 1 and 2 will use Class DoJo as the basis of their learning from home. This will include learning grids, videos from teachers and interactive messages. Zoom sessions will also be available for students in K-2, with details provided in Class DoJo. Parents are allowed to use their own accounts for Zoom with younger students.

Students in Years 3-6 will be more independent in their learning, with a focus on Google Classroom. Students will be able to access their classroom through the student portal and complete all their required tasks through Google. Zoom sessions will also be available for students in Years 3-6, with details provided in the Google Classroom. Students in Years 3-6 must use Zoom through the Portal with their own student account.

The school also loans out devices (iPads for Kindergarten and Year 1, Chromebooks for Years 2-6) for any family that needs them to support student learning. Families are encouraged to contact the office through phone or email for further information.
